Since 1961 TheaterWorksUSA (TWUSA) has existed to create exceptional, transformative theatrical experiences that are accessible to young and family audiences in diverse communities throughout New York City and North America.

At TWUSA we believe that access to art – and theater in particular – is vital for our youth. Our programming is designed to address the disproportionate accessibility of art for young people across the country. For nearly six decades we have been a trailblazer in the not-for-profit theater industry with our repertoire of over 140 literature and history-based plays and musicals playing a leading role in the rise of theater for young audiences as an art form. We are proud to say that 100 million children, educators, and families have joined us at the theater.

Now more than ever, we strive not only to entertain but to create experiences that bring audiences together to encourage compassion, inclusivity, anti-racism, and inspire young people by giving them a reason to look up with optimism and hope. We can only do so through the support of people like you who share our dedication to engaging young people in the arts.
