QUARANTWEEN: the Production
QUARANTWEEN: the Musical was created by Carin Greenberg & Barbara Pasternack for TheaterWorksUSA and written by Carin Greenberg. The show stars three real families, with talented kids and their equally talented parents. They performed and videotaped themselves in their own homes (simultaneously in Los Angeles, New York, and Houston, Texas) on iPhone cameras, with our directors and producers working with them over Zoom. Our stellar cast features Tony Winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Chicago and more on Broadway); Eric Petersen (star of Shrek & School of Rock on Broadway and an upcoming TV series on AMC), Welly Yang (star of Miss Saigon on Broadway), Dina Morishita (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, National Tours), and Shannon Lanier (veteran television host and anchor of CW39’s Morning Show). Songwriters include two-time Grammy nominee, Shelly Peiken; film and television composer, Adam Gorgoni; Grammy nominees Tor Hyams and Lisa St. Lou; Oliver Houser, recipient of the inaugural Stephen Schwartz award, whose musical XY has been optioned for Broadway; and Ben Wexler, recipient of the 2019 Jonathan Larson Grant and finalist for the 2019 Richard Rodgers Award.
